The Nursery (better late then never)

I know, I know Lucas is 6 weeks old and I am just now getting this post up. Well, to be honest I am not sure I would have had it done before he was born anyway. Looking back on the weeks leading up to his birth (missed the birth story, read it here) I was so busy keeping Logan and Abby entertained and trying to make the weeks before for my scheduled c section pass as fast as possible, I didn't have much down time. I didn't even have my bag packed when I went into labor August 2nd or the kids bag for that matter. I was going to do it that weekend but Lucas had other plans for me obviously!

Any who, here is the nursery! I am so happy with how it came out (minus not finding a crib skirt I liked). My vision changed a few times along the way but in the end it is perfect!

Wordless{ish} Wednesday ~ curtains and Matt's birthday!

Lucas' room with his name above the crib and the new curtains I had made. I love the way the orange pops with the blue walls! I also ordered an orange changing pad cover that should be here next week.

Today is my amazing husbands 29th birthday!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MATT! I LOVE YOU!

He is at work of course but thanks to a thunderstorm (have I ever mentioned I HATE thunderstorms?!) I was wide awake this morning to tell him happy birthday. I am making his favorite meal (chicken enchiladas). When we were grocery shopping last Thursday I asked him to pick out what kind of cake he wanted so the kids and I can make it this afternoon when Logan gets home. Well, he picked a yummy brownie/cookie bar thing! We are doing dinner out with friends on Friday to celebrate but tonight will just be the 4 of us! :)

Another Nursery Project!

I wanted to share another project I am working on for the nursery. I am so excited about it all coming together. Since I am not buying a crib set there is nothing in the stores to go with it and I am fine with that to be honest because I know Lucas' nursery will not look like any other out there. I mentioned about a month ago that a friend of mine was doing one of the projects for me. She gave me a sneak peek and I LOVE it! She is also helping me get all the colors for the other projects to match right. Thanks Melanie, you are the best!

Nursery Update!

I am so excited about the nursery and seeing it all coming together! I like I said before we didn't have to paint because it was already blue from when it was Logan's room. On Friday we got the crib but it was so late by time we got home we didn't put it together until Saturday. I also received the fabric I ordered in the mail on Friday. It was great to see all of it next to the crib and see that the colors POP just like I was hoping they would!
