Psst...guess what!? It's...

SUNDAY again!

Our weekend consisted of some shopping, relaxing and a side of froyo! A perfect weekend with my loves if I do say so myself!

Friday we had dinner at Chili's then heading to Gymboree where I scored some great deals on Fall/Winter clothes for Lucas. This dude is wear 18-24m at only 13m old, C-R-A-Z-Y! Oh and lets not talk about shoes. I am not sure this kid will ever wear shoes because nothing seems to fit those chunky feet, haha!
Saturday, we relaxed around the house while Matt finished up some homework (Oh, did I forget to mention the hubby started college course through our local community college. Well, that's a post all on it's own that will be coming soon!) Then we headed into town after dinner for a little more shopping but somehow ended up at Menchie's for some yummy froyo instead. It was a perfect evening for it too! We stopped by Home Depot after and picked up a shelf then came home. Lucas decided daddy needed some help...sweet boy! #cutesthelperever
Then there is today, Sunday! Blah...it will be all about laundry and getting ready for the week. Not much else to say about that.

Hope everyone has had a great weekend!

Sunday Confessions ~ v11

It's time to confess and link up with Alyx at Every Day is a New Adventure!

Confession #1
I am in LOVE with our new Keurig! Best Christmas present ever...Thanks mom and dad!

Confession #2
I decided that parenting school aged children is not for me. I need an EASY button to just skip over this part of parenting!

Confession #3
I am too cheap to pay someone to make me a new blog design so looks like this one will be sticking around a while so I am glad you all said you liked it last week! haha

Confession #4
I don't do laundry...I have an amazing hubby that does it and I couldn't be more grateful to him. Our laundry room is in the basement and as lazy as it sounds I HATE going down there. Thanks love, your the best!

Confession #5
My parents are taking the kids to Disney over spring break and I am already starting to panic about them being gone that long. The longest they have been away from me is when we had Lucas and I still saw them everyday so it was not too bad. They will be gone Monday-Friday (coming home Saturday). That is five days of just talking to them on the phone. I know they are going to have a blast but it is going to be hard for this mommy! Oh and did I mention they are flying...for the first time ever?!?! oh.my.gosh.heart.palpitations

OK I need to go calm myself down now...Happy Sunday everyone!

Triplets!!

I am fully aware at how much my kids look alike but it was not until I actually found a picture of Abby at 5 months that I realized that they could have been triplets as babies. I could never deny these kids either. I see some of Matt in them but they all have so much of mommy in them it is crazy. I think they should look more like me since I did all the work...I kid I kid! hahaha

Here are pictures of them each at 5 months old...

Turkey Day 2012

Wow, the last 4 days went by so fast. They started off a rocky...Tuesday around 4pm I started to feel sick. I had a headache, my stomach was feeling off and I had a fever of 101.4 with chills. I took some ibprofen and feel asleep in the recliner. When I woke up the chills were gone but my fever was now 102.4 and I was feeling worse. It was time for me to pump and when I did my right side was over the top sore. I knew exactly what was wrong with me, MASTITIS!

I have feared getting it since Lucas was born because from what I heard, you feel like you were hit by a mac truck and that is exactly how I felt. I called the my midwife and she called me in an antibiotic. The kids were off Wednesday and Matt had to work so I was on my own. It was a rough day to say the least but by that evening I was feel much better. By Thursday morning my fever was gone and I was able to enjoy Thanksgiving at my parent with my family.

Logan and Abby had a blast playing with all their cousins. The food was delicious and the icing on the cake was the Redskins whooping up on the Cowboys!!! HTTR!!!

Matt and Logan ran the turkey trot that morning with the rest of my family. I stayed home with Lucas because I didn't want to push my luck since I had just started feeling better. I was bad and didn't take very many pictures this year but here are some.

Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!

Wordless{ish} Wednesday

This baby has me under his spell for sure! He is such a good baby and his smiles totally melt my heart!

These two goofballs keep things interesting around here. The saying "kids say the darndest things" is so true in this house!

Lucas Parker 3 month update!

Compare 2 months here!

How did the last 3 months go so fast. Lucas is growing like a weed (Thanks to mama's milk, of course!) I can't get enough of his sweet face.

3 month facts...

~ was 13.1 lbs at his 2 month check up.
~ full of smiles and cooing like crazy.
~ sleeping through the night, YAY!!
~ eats 4-5 oz every 3-4 hours during the day and sleeps from 10pm to 8pm, give or take a 1/2 hour.
~ LOVES to have his blanket next to his face when he sleeps.
~ wearing size 3-6 month clothes.
~ is in size 2 diapers.
~ holding his head up better and better everyday.

I feel like we are finally on some what of a schedule around here. I am a little worried the time change is going to mess it up. Pumping is still going great. I had an original goal of pumping until 12 weeks but I have now past that so I set a new goal of 6 months. Our freezer has around 2000oz of breast milk in it so if I stopped now I could give him 3 more months of just breast milk. If I can make to 6 months then I should have enough frozen to get him to a year on all breast milk. That would be AWESOME!

Here are some more pictures of my little cutie!

2 months old and growing...

We are settling into a new normal around here. My milk supply is awesome and pumping is becoming second nature. As much as I wanted to nurse him, I am totally fine with exclusively pumping. He is getting 100% breast milk and that is all that matters to me. He eats 4-5oz about every 3-4 hours with a 6-7 hour stretche during the night. He has a little fussy time in the evenings but hoping he will out grow that soon. He is starting to really like the bath and his favorite spot to sleep is still on mommy chest. He smiles a lot these days, well except when the camera comes out. I have gotten a few pictures with my iPhone but as soon as the big camera comes out, he turns on the serious face. He really has completed our family. I love saying "your brother" to Logan and Abby. The other day I said "your son" to Matt and he asked which one. It's the little things that make me smile.

He had his 6 week check up on September 14th and he weighed in at 10lbs 8oz. That is 3 lbs heavier then when he was born. Mama's milk is doing it's job! He has his next appt on Oct 9th and I can't wait to see what he weighs. I packed up all his newborn stuff last week which was bitter sweet because he is our last one and I will never use those clothes again but at the same time it is exciting to see him grow and start doing new things.

Here are some pictures from my iPhone...

The Nursery (better late then never)

I know, I know Lucas is 6 weeks old and I am just now getting this post up. Well, to be honest I am not sure I would have had it done before he was born anyway. Looking back on the weeks leading up to his birth (missed the birth story, read it here) I was so busy keeping Logan and Abby entertained and trying to make the weeks before for my scheduled c section pass as fast as possible, I didn't have much down time. I didn't even have my bag packed when I went into labor August 2nd or the kids bag for that matter. I was going to do it that weekend but Lucas had other plans for me obviously!

Any who, here is the nursery! I am so happy with how it came out (minus not finding a crib skirt I liked). My vision changed a few times along the way but in the end it is perfect!
