About Me

This blog is a place for me to escape the craziness around me and share my life as a mother of 3, wife to an amazing man and everything that comes to my mind!

A little about me...

My name is Krystle and I am a 30 year old stay at home mom, married to my high school sweet heart, Matt, whom I couldn't imagine my life without. I am first and formost a mother to our three wonderful kids, Logan, Abigail (Abby) and Lucas. I am the youngest of 6 girls which can be good and bad, lots of drama but you always have a good size army at your side when you need it. I am also lucky to have some of the best friends. I love my life and could not ask for anything more!

I am not the "lets play with play-doh and finger paints" kind of mother. I have a horrible phobia of the mess that it will make. I am the mother that will feed her children spaghetti because I can't handle the mess that they will make doing it by themselves. I let them sit for 2-3 hours watching TV even though I swore I never would, because well, how is a SAHM supposed to have quiet time after they out grow naps?!?! Plus, in my opinion, if you limit them then they will just want to do it more. Then it will become a fight. Again, just my opinion! I love turning the radio up and dancing it out with them in the living room and listening to them "sing" the songs! I LOVE to hear them laugh!

I worked in the medical field up until January 2008. I am currently doing the thing I love the most, being a stay at home mom! Every day that I get to be a stay at home mom is wonderful and a challenge at the same time. I miss the adult interaction at time but I know being home with them is more important. I am a bit of a germ-a-phobe and refuse to use public bathrooms unless ABSOLUTELY necessary, but that is not very often at all. I obsess over what I look like before I leave the house to the point that I will try on 8 to 10 different things before getting out the door. Drives my husband CRAZY, but he still loves me! I have an addiction to Chipotle and Georgetown Cupcakes (Thank goodness I live close). I HATE the working out but love how I feel when I am done. I try so very very hard not to cuss in front of my kids, that I say off the wall stuff when I am angry. It gets some good laughs from my friends. Spring and Fall are my FAVORITE times of the year but Christmas is my favorite holiday, weird, I know! I am scared of thunder storms but have learned to act brave for the kids. I can't stand slow drivers and will ride your butt if you are not doing at least 5 over the speed limit. I'm also, willing to admit I have a bit of road rage at times. I am not an on time person like I use to be, kids will do that to you. I'm never more then 20 minutes late though, if that makes it any better. Sorry if you have ever had to wait on me! My husband is such a good man and does the laundry around here the majority of the time because I just hate doing it. I have spurts where I will do it but it's not often. After experiencing my first earthquake I can officially say I NEVER want to go through that again, OK thanks! I want to get into photography so I can take better pictures with my Canon Rebel XSi. Logan and Abby are at the age that they smile when you say smile and stay posed how you tell them, its great! Lucas not so much but the faces I get sometimes from him are just as cute as a smile would have been. I love blogging about our everyday life, the fun and not so fun stuff because it gives me a place to be in my own world without the kids or a hubby bothering me for just a few minutes or at least that's what I try for. Hope you enjoy reading and will stick around for more!

Now a little about the hubby and I...

Matt and I started dating in November of 1998, our sophomore year of high school. We had 7th period English together. Matt said he noticed me the first day of school but I didn't notice him until some time in October. I know, that sounds bad but he sat in the back of the class and it was not like he went out of his way to try and talk to me. I finally said hi to him one day and it went from there. After talking for a while he finally "asked me out" (you know what that means in high school, haha) the night before Thanksgiving. From that point on our relationship went from just seeing each other in school to spending almost all of our time outside of school together. After graduating high school in 2001, we both were working, and living at home. I had never really thought about getting engaged, so in July 2002 when he got down on one knee while we were on a cruise in the Bahamas, I was totally surprised! It was the first time he was able to keep something from me without me figuring it out. He had the ring for a few months before the cruise. Once, we were engaged I didn't want to wait to be his wife. So, we set the date for January 25, 2003! That was one of the best days of our lives!

The night Matt proposed!
Matt works for the local electric utility as a 1st class Substation Technician, going on 12 years. He works 50+ hours a week and gets called into work all hours of the night so he has to be away from home quite a bit but it comes with the job and we knew that going into it. When he walks in that door the kids go crazy...as do I. I always tell people that I have never met anyone that is so dedicated or loves their jobs more than him. I am so proud of him! I don't think I could have found a more perfect match for me even though we are complete opposites. I feel that is what makes our marriage work so well. I don't think there are enough words to describe how wonderful he is. Matt treats me like a woman should be treated and has the biggest heart. He is my best friend, the rock in our marriage, and understands me like no one else! I love him even more with everyday that passes!
One of the happiest days of our life!
First dance as husband and wife!
Matt and I have been together for 14 years and married for 10 years. It's been the most wonderful years of our lives and can't wait to get even more under our belt!
