Weekend Recap (a little late, I know!)

I know, I know,  it's a little late but wanted to share our fun weekend.

Saturday, Matt and I along with a friend did our first AdvoCare booth at a fall festival. It was a lot of fun and I enjoyed sharing my passion for these amazing products with other people!

Sunday we headed out for our annual Graves Mountain trip! We had yummy kettle corn, finally got Matt some bags for his corn hole boards, picked out 3 pumpkins, got some delicious apples and of course rode the hayride! Everyone had a blast!

We all enjoyed having my niece Ashley here for the weekend as well. She watch the kiddos for us Saturday for us to do our booth. Thanks, Ash!

Weekend Recap with a photo dump!

Hope everyone had a great weekend and all you mamas had a great Mother's Day. We went to Kings Dominion for the day and it was so much fun. It was the prefect day, temps in the high 60's and bright blue skies. The kids had a blast and Lucas was such a good boy. I am so thankful for my little family of 5!

Here is a photo dump from our day...

Make sure you check back tomorrow to enter to win an iPad or Surface! Happy Monday everyone!

WW: Kings Dominion ~ photo dump!

This year, Matt and I decided to get season passes to the local amusement park, Kings Dominion. We figured it would be a great way to spend a half day or even a whole day this summer. I was really nervous about how Lucas would do and how we would warm his food and bottle, because we all know he likes them HOT. Well, to our surprise there is a new feature at the park this year called the Family Care Center. They have a diaper changing station, highchairs, nursing rooms, bottle warmers, a microwave and 2 private bathrooms. It was awesome! Made the day so much more relaxing not worrying about how we would warm bottles and change diapers.

When we got there, we started in the kids area, (Planet Snoopy). Logan is just under the height requirement for all of the rides in there, so they both can ride everything together. A few things were a little small for them so we passed on those but they really enjoyed the "big" roller coaster in that area,"The Woodstock Express". After we hit some of those rides, we ate lunch ... for $45! Needless to say, we will be packing lunch from now on! We moved to the BIG rides. Abby was the only one willing to ride the "Drop Tower" with Matt. She is a brave little girl that's for sure! All three of them rode two other rollercoasters before we had to head back to the kids area to feed and change Lucas. They enjoyed it, but Abby knows now that she may be just a little too small to ride the big ones!  She gave them a try though. At this point, we had been at the park for 4 hours so we hit one more ride, which I rode with Logan then Matt and Abby rode together. We had some Dippin Dots then headed home!

We had a great time and the kids of course can't wait to go back. I will be remembering the sunscreen for sure next time! I totally underestimated this April sun, haha! Here are some pictures from our day (they were all taken with my iPhone so excuse the bad quality of some of them)!

Turkey Day 2012

Wow, the last 4 days went by so fast. They started off a rocky...Tuesday around 4pm I started to feel sick. I had a headache, my stomach was feeling off and I had a fever of 101.4 with chills. I took some ibprofen and feel asleep in the recliner. When I woke up the chills were gone but my fever was now 102.4 and I was feeling worse. It was time for me to pump and when I did my right side was over the top sore. I knew exactly what was wrong with me, MASTITIS!

I have feared getting it since Lucas was born because from what I heard, you feel like you were hit by a mac truck and that is exactly how I felt. I called the my midwife and she called me in an antibiotic. The kids were off Wednesday and Matt had to work so I was on my own. It was a rough day to say the least but by that evening I was feel much better. By Thursday morning my fever was gone and I was able to enjoy Thanksgiving at my parent with my family.

Logan and Abby had a blast playing with all their cousins. The food was delicious and the icing on the cake was the Redskins whooping up on the Cowboys!!! HTTR!!!

Matt and Logan ran the turkey trot that morning with the rest of my family. I stayed home with Lucas because I didn't want to push my luck since I had just started feeling better. I was bad and didn't take very many pictures this year but here are some.

Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!
