Tomorrow starts a week of many holiday celebrations with family and friends. This is my most favorite holiday now that I have kids. I love seeing their faces Christmas morning and watching them open their presents with such excitement!

I don't want to forget to wish all my wonderful readers and fellow bloggers a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year so I am posting this a little early.

PS Don't forgot about the giveaway over at The Chronicles of Chaos...only two more days to enter to win the $10 Target gift card I am giving a way!

Friday Letters ~ v4

It's been a while since I have linked up with Ashley at Adventures of Newlyweds for Friday Letters so here we go!

Photobucket

Dear iPhone 4,
I love you but you are starting to show your age. I didn't think I wanted/needed the iPhone 5 but your slowness lately is really starting to make me crazy.

Dear Frizz the Elf,
Thank you for bring such sweet smiles to my little peoples face when they see what you are up to every morning!

Dear Christmas,
You are coming up way to fast! PLEASE slow down so I have time to figure out what to get people.

Dear Christmas tree skirts,
Why do you all have to be so tacky?! I refuse to spend $50 + dollars on one so looks like I will not have one this year. I will be checking after Christmas sales for a deal on one this year.

Dear Energy,
Where oh where are you?! I need some like yesterday, please! My poor house is suffering from your lack of presence.

There you have it! The five things on my mind at the moment! Have a great weekend everyone!

Christmas Tag Fun

Who is up for a little Christmas Fun?
Thanks so much to Melanie at now a queen for including me in this fun "Tag" themed post.

The fun started over at Raising Reagan, where Lanaya answered 5 Christmas themed questions and "tagged" five other bloggers to do the same, and then on and on until we're all in the Christmas Spirit!

1. What makes Christmas such a special holiday for you and your family?
My parents always made Christmas a big deal and since we all have our own families now Christmas Eve is when we all get together, open gifts and then we all go to dinner. I love that Logan and Abby are at the age where they come running in the room Christmas morning all excited to go down and see what Santa brought!
2. Were you told the truth about Santa Claus by your parents or did you find out another way? And..do you plan on lying to your kids (if you have them or plan on having them)? Oh yes…I went there. :)
I don't remember when or how I found out the truth but I want my kids to believe as long as possible. I worry that Logan is not far from not believing. He ask question some times that make me think he is starting to figure it out.
3. Real tree or Fake tree?
Having a father that is a fire fighter mean no real trees growing up so we do fake. I am honestly fine with it because I absolutly hate putting lights on a tree so a fake pre lite is my favorite!
4. Do you open presents on Christmas morning, Christmas Eve or both?
We open presents with my family on Christmas Eve then the kids get to open one present from us before bed which is always their Christmas PJ's.
5. What is your favorite Christmas movie to watch? Favorite Christmas song to sing or listen to? ( I know…technically two questions)
I love all the Santa Claus movies with Tim Allen. My favorite song would have to be Christmas Shoes. I also like Christmas Canon by Trans-Siberian Orchestra
For the next round of You're It, I am tagging these bloggers:

What a FABULOUS Christmas weekend we had!

Saturday we went to my parents for gifts and hanging out. Then while my parents headed to church, we made a stop at a good friends house for a little while. Our dinner reservations were at 7pm and boy, was it yummy! There were a total of 13 of us at dinner and that was not all of us. Three of my sisters and their families couldn't make it. Here are a few pictures from dinner!

After, dinner we headed home to get the cookies and milk out for Santa and put the little people to bed! Matt and I had a LOT of wrapping to do once they were asleep, which thankfully didn't take long after the busy, fun day we had!

Christmas morning the kids woke us up at 7:15am. It is getting earlier and earlier each year! Here are some pictures of the kids unwrapping their gifts!

My parents come over that morning and we all went to IHOP for breakfast then we came home and the kids played with their toys all day. My parents came back over that evening for dinner. I made Prime Rib (oh man it was so so good), twice baked potatoes and broccoli! We ate so much food this weekend I think I am good for a week! hahaha

Hope everyone had a great holiday!! I know we sure did!! :)

Winter Break!

Winter break for Logan started Wednesday. We were super lazy bums Wednesday and just hung around the house in our pj's. Today we ran lots of errands and stopped for a little treat when I saw the Krispy Kreme "HOT" dount sign on! That was the highlight of the day for the kids. Tomorrow I will not be leaving this house because the shopping areas will be CRAZY I'm sure.

Saturday we are going to my parents at 2pm for our Christmas celebration with everyone then dinner at the Japanese Steak House, Otani's! YUM-O! Then, Christmas day we will go to breakfast at IHOP then have my parents over for dinner that evening. Danielle will be here on Wednesday for 19 days and we have so much planned but I will blog about that after

Hope everyone has a VERY Merry Christmas and can't wait to read about how everyone's holiday was! :)

Early Christmas

This past Saturday we hosted an early Christmas with Matt's family. Matt and I decided this year we wanted to make all the food. We had turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, and cheesy rice casserole. We laughed that they were all our guinea pigs! I have never made a turkey or stuffing that was not from a box. I was a little nervous but everything turned out great. Thanks to my mom for all the helpful tips!

After we ate the kids were dying to open presents. Here are some of the pictures of them opening their gifts!

We will have Christmas with my family next weekend on Christmas Eve! So keep an eye out for the blog post next week! :)

Elf update...

Boy has Frizz been up to no good lately. The kids have gotten a kick out of his mischief!

On Sunday morning we came downstairs to find that he toilet papered the Christmas tree! They kids think he wanted it to look like it had snow on it!

Then, this morning we found him sneaking some Fruit Loops!!

Who knows what he will do next!

Santa Train

With 2 weeks left until Christmas, crazy I know, we took the kids to ride the "Santa Train" Saturday! It was so much fun and something we plan on make a yearly tradition, well as long as they keep doing it! The tickets went on sale on the 28th of November for $6 each and they went fast. My mom and I were luck to get ours before they were gone. I was thinking that the train was going to be packed because they sold out so fast but it wasn't. I thought it was a very well organized event. When Santa and Mrs. Clause got to our train car he sat down and took pictures with all of the kids on that car. That beat waiting in the line at the mall and paying $20 plus for a picture with him. They had carolers that came to each car and sang. They gave out coloring books and mini candy canes as well as paper conductor hats. Of course, we drove the kids crazy having them smile for pictures but they didn't seem to mind to much.

Here are some of the pictures!
