I am still around, PROMISE!

Hi ho my blogger friends! Man it has been a while since I have blogged. Life is just plain crazy and time goes way to fast. So here is a quick (everything I do is quick now that I have a 2 year old on my hands) update on life around here with a little randomness in between.

In June for Logan 10th birthday (we are in the double digits now, remember?) we took the kids to Great Wolf Lodge. Wow, we had a blast and can't wait to go back. I HIGHLY recommend it if you have one near you.

In August our Noodle turned TWO...say what!? I just hate how fast time goes these days. We did a circus themed party this year and it was awesome. He is a 33lb, silly, sweet and oh so cute little guy that keeps us on our toes everyday!

In September, my big kids went back to school. This is the last year they will be in school together until Logan is a senior and Abby is a freshman, CRAZINESS! Also, this is the last year they will ride a bus together. Again, time please slow down!
October marked 17 months (where I started) since I started my AdvoCare journey and I am proud of myself for sticking and staying for 17 months to become a healthier mama for not only myself but my 3 kids. I will ALWAYS be thankful for AdvoCare and speak of it with passion because I believe it taught me it is not about dieting but a lifestyle...one I will live the rest of my life. I LOVE helping others see how it can change their life. If you've been waiting & watching, today is YOUR DAY! I wouldn't wait another second to say yes. I would love to coach you & help you reach your goals too!

This past weekend Matt and I had a date night that was long over due! We didn't do anything crazy. just dinner and a little shopping/browsing. Time with this guy makes my heart so very happy! He is the love of my life, best friend and I can't imagine doing life with anyone else! <3
That is all I have! I will try to touch base more often than every 4 months, haha! Hope everyone is doing well and happy Monday! :)

We have entered DOUBLE digits!!!

Ahhhh, how is Logan TEN...I mean he really was JUST born, right!? The whole "the older you get the faster it goes" saying is so true.

On this day 10 years ago I became a mommy for the first time. I always knew I wanted to have kids but I don't think you really know how much your heart can love someone until you are a parent. Logan is the sweetest young man with a heart of gold. He is a daddy's boy through and through! I am beyond thankful I was picked to be his mommy.

A little look through the years...

Now I am off to cry! haha ;)

the blog slacker award goes to...

YOURS TRULY!!!!!!!!!!!

What a complete slacker I am. It has been way to long since I blogged because life is beyond crazy these days. I am not even sure were to start. Christmas was low key and relaxing, which was nice but Matt didn't get much time off so that kinda sucked. Kids loved everything they got and Lucas was so fun to watch this year.

New Years day we took the kids to the National Harbor for the Gaylord ICE! thing (not sure what to really call it). It was super super cold so we walked through it super super fast, haha! After that we ended up at Georgetown Cupcakes (imagine that, haha) and then head home. It was a great family day that of course went by way to fast.

Kids went back to school after winter break but have not had a FULL week back yet. Between super cold temps and snow storms we have been getting to sleep in a lot. I am totally not complaining! Matt hasn't had to work any storm trouble so that is an added plus. Thank you fluffy light snow!

The weekend of the 10th Matt and I went on our first ever mini trip for AdvoCare success school. Leaving the kids (especially Lucas) was so hard. We left Friday morning the 10th and drove back over night Saturday, getting home at 4am Sunday.  It was totally worth it for the amazing training we got plus the kids had fun with my parents.

This past Saturday was our 11 year wedding anniversary. Where has 11 years gone!? We had a nice dinner out at Bonefish, followed by a few errands and were back home by 9:30pm! I know, party animals! haha

Logan and Abby are both doing great in school and enjoying the snow days. Lucas is changing so much week by week. I love seeing his personality come out. He is still doesn't talk but is doing amazing with signing. I think his first and only word at this point is "Hey" which is totally adorable!

Well that has been life around here the last month or so. Hope everyone is doing well and has had a GREAT start to 2014...I know we have!

Triplets!!

I am fully aware at how much my kids look alike but it was not until I actually found a picture of Abby at 5 months that I realized that they could have been triplets as babies. I could never deny these kids either. I see some of Matt in them but they all have so much of mommy in them it is crazy. I think they should look more like me since I did all the work...I kid I kid! hahaha

Here are pictures of them each at 5 months old...

Wordless{ish} Wednesday

This baby has me under his spell for sure! He is such a good baby and his smiles totally melt my heart!

These two goofballs keep things interesting around here. The saying "kids say the darndest things" is so true in this house!

Wordless{ish} Wednesday ~ Pumpkin Carving!

First I want to say, Happy Halloween!!!!

Monday night we let the kids carve their pumpkins. Instead of buying the books with patterns we let the kids come up with their own and Matt drew it on their pumpkins. There was a lot of "ewwwww" comments and laughing coming from the dining room the whole time.

Got to love Abby's hair. She did her pigtails all by her self!
He was having so much fun!

Lucas was just hanging out watching all the action.
Abby's pumpkin she carved all by herself!
The finished products! They were both so proud of their pumpkins.

Currently ~ v6

Currently I am...

Feeling exhausted! You are never prepared for the lack of sleep you experience with a newborn. To be honest I think I had finally catching up on sleep from when Abby was born when I got pregnancy with Lucas. haha He has being sleeping pretty good lately, about 6-7 hours at night so I guess I can't complain.

Drinking water, water and more water! I swear it is why I have such a great milk supply for my little guy.

Looking for decoration ideas for Abby's party! I can't wait for it to all come together.

Dreaming of a white sandy beach...OK not really! haha To be honest I am dreaming of when Lucas is old enough to start interacting with Logan and Abby. He is smiling so much more these days and starting to "coo" more too.

Making pork chops and applesauce for dinner. If you have never had the two together then you are totally missing out!

[Next week's themes: worrying, listening, wishing, observing, considering]

Lucas(and life) 1 month update!

The last 4 weeks have been hectic, emotional, exhausting and wonderful! Logan and Abby started school on the 21st and they both LOVE it. Abby comes home so excited to tell me about her day. Logan is just happy to be back in school so he can run laps on the black top. Those were his words exactly. Let me just say, he didn't get his love for running from me that's for sure. They come home and can't wait to see Lucas. We have hand sanitizer on the table in the living room and they both come right in and use it so they can touch him. I love how much they love their little brother.

Lucas is getting big too fast. I met with the lactation consultant last Thursday and was able to weigh him and he is up to 8lb 15oz! Mommy's milk is getting the job done! I have decided he has one cry for everything. He doesn't cry often but when he does, watch out!

Ever hear the saying, light as a feather stiff as a board?! Well that is Lucas when he gets mad. He loves to be held and I don't have a problem with that! Logan liked to be held also, but Abby didn't so I am enjoying getting to snuggle with him all the time.

Matt and I are both exhausted. By 8pm we both are struggling to stay awake. Lucas eats every 3 hours but goes for 4-5 hours after his midnight/1am feeding. Matt is awesome and gets up too in the middle of the night even though he has to work. I must say I have a pretty amazing, supportive, and loving husband. I am definitely one lucky lady!

We are starting to settle into a routine around here. I have tackled solo outings with Lucas and they were a success! Logan and Abby have adjusted wonderfully to have a little brother (which if you know me, was a worry of mine). LIFE IS GOOD!

Here are few pictures of what's been going on around here!

First day of school!
