Sweet Summer Time!!!!!!!

HELLO my blogger friends!!!!! I know, I know it has been forever since I blogged but life is just so crazy. I could make a promise to blog more but I would just end up disappointing everyone (because I know you live for my blog post, haha).  So much has been going on so I will try to catch you up.

Logan and Abby have their last day of school today. Crazy how slow but yet how fast it went. This mama is beyond ready for summer break. Here is their first and last day of school pictures.

Last weekend Matt and Logan did a mud run together! They had a blast and will definitely be doing another one soon. Abby wants to join them next time too! Matt is doing the Tough Mudder tomorrow with some guys from his work. They are CRAY CRAY (click the link and you will see why!) if you ask me but he LOVES them.

Logan's 10th birthday is next week,  Abby has her dance recital, and the following weekend we are going to the Great Wolf Lodge for the weekend. I will be nice to get away for the weekend and have some fun. The big kids are taking swim lessons on Tuesday's and are doing great. I am in full party planning mode for Lucas 2nd birthday (CRAZY my baby will be 2)! I will share the theme and all the pictures after.

That is life as of right now...busy, busy, busy! July will be more relaxed but August will be packed again. Lucas' birthday, Matt and I in Dallas for AdvoCare Success School and classed start back up for Matt again (BLAH!). We are hoping to fit in a weekend trip to the beach at some point.

I will leave you with this cutie! He is making HUGE progress with his speech. I will update all that on his 2 year post in about a month and a half.

Hope everyone has a wonderful summer break (who knows if I will be back before it's over, haha) and enjoy your vacations!

I am around...

Wow, crazy how life happens and before you know it a month goes by or even a year! Is it really going to be 2014 soon!? I wish time would slow down but we all know that is not going to happen. The old we get the faster it goes, unfortunately!

I am in the process of planning Abby's 7th, yes people 7th, birthday. Um, how is that possible!? Wasn't she just born like yesterday!? OK, wiping away the tears. *sigh* We are having a Diva Rock Star party. Her present this year was a redo of her bedroom which is zebra and hot pink. Post and pics coming soon on that. I chose her party theme to go with her room so I can reuse party decor in there. Pretty genius, right!? haha This is one thing I made for the party that I will put it in her room after.

The party is coming together nicely but I still have a lot to finish and only 2 weeks to get it done in! Yikes!

A little update on Lucas...

He is a BIG boy. At his 15 month check up he was 29lbs 7oz and 32 3/4 in. I worry he is not eating enough but with those stats he must be getting plenty. Last week was a rough week for the little guy. He had a double ear infection which was the second time in 2 week so we opted for the antibiotic injections for 3 days in a row to hopefully get rid of them this go around. As hard as it was to see him cry the minute we walked into the exam room it worked! His ears looked great yesterday which meant no ENT appt! Yay! He did have to get 2 vials of blood drawn and 3 shots so that of course traumatized the guy even more. Although I think it was harder on me then him in the long run...isn't that how it always works!? He is a walking/runnning machine and finally drinking from a straw cup like a pro. We are still working on talking though. We are just started teaching him some signs for base communication, like please, more, and thank you. He favorite sound right now is DA. He point and says DA to everything. I am still waiting for the mama, because lets face it, that the most important first word! haha ;)

My AdvoCare business keep this mama busy as well. I hit my goal weight of 125 (124.5 actually) and I am LOVING how I feel. I want to share these amazing products with the world. I am earning an income I didn't think was possible while still being home with my kiddos. Christmas is going to be a lot least stressful this year because of it. I am beyond thankful I said YES to this amazing company back in May for both the weight loss and financial opportunity!

I am hoping to get back to more post but don't hate me if I don't. Life is just crazy and with the holidays it will likely be even more crazy! Hope everyone is doing well!

Wordless{ish} Wednesday ~ Abby's Luau Party

Abby's party was a success this past Saturday! There were a few things I would have done if I had more time but my procrastinating caught up with me. I yet again didn't get as many pictures as I wanted. Like the table with all the food on it. Major slacker, I know!

Here are the ones I did get!

Thanks again to everyone who came and helped us celebrate!

Currently ~ v6

Currently I am...

Feeling exhausted! You are never prepared for the lack of sleep you experience with a newborn. To be honest I think I had finally catching up on sleep from when Abby was born when I got pregnancy with Lucas. haha He has being sleeping pretty good lately, about 6-7 hours at night so I guess I can't complain.

Drinking water, water and more water! I swear it is why I have such a great milk supply for my little guy.

Looking for decoration ideas for Abby's party! I can't wait for it to all come together.

Dreaming of a white sandy beach...OK not really! haha To be honest I am dreaming of when Lucas is old enough to start interacting with Logan and Abby. He is smiling so much more these days and starting to "coo" more too.

Making pork chops and applesauce for dinner. If you have never had the two together then you are totally missing out!

[Next week's themes: worrying, listening, wishing, observing, considering]

The party planning is under way...FINALLY!

Abby and I finally picked a theme for her party. I have 2 months to get this party together and if you know me, that means I am way behind. I have been working on her invitation!

Here is a peek of it...

I might tweak it some more but it is a start!

Weekend Rewind ~ Logan's 8th birthday party!

Logan's party was a success even with the last minute changes. Good food, good friends and family equal a great party! The cake was AMAZING like always and not just because it was Redskins themed! There is only maybe two pieces left if that tells you anything...haha!

Here are some pictures from the party!
Shelby wouldn't smile for me but thats OK, she is a cutie whether she is smiling or not! Abby and her friend Riley had a blast together. They live about 2 hours away so we don't get to see them often enough. After the party we headed so Logan's baseball game. They won again 12-9! After that we came home and visited with my uncle for a few hours and Logan got to play with all his presents before we head to get some dinner at our most favorite place, El Charro's (best Mexican food in town)!

Like always the weekend went to fast but it was a fun filled weekend. Thanks everyone who came and helped us celebrate!

Abby's Candy Shoppe was a success!!

After months of planning I think Abby's party was a huge success! I have to say that was the best party I think we have done. Abby woke up with such excitement on Saturday. Matt and I stayed up until 2:30am getting things ready. I was a little unsure how the decor was going to come together but I couldn't been happier with how it all looked! Abby's new toys are taking over my living room but that's OK, she is having so much fun with them!

Sunday, her actual birthday, we asked her where she wanted to go to lunch and she picked Arby's. If you know Abby's you know how much she LOVES Arby's so it was the prefect place to go! We picked up her friend before and then heading to eat. She opened her presents from us at lunch and then we went back to our house. Her and her friend played outside for most of the afternoon. She told us last night before bed that she had a GREAT birthday weekend!

Here is a picture of the table with all the candy, cake and balloons!

The Banner I made!

The goodie bags for all Abby's friends!

The birthday girl with her awesome cake!

Here are some other pictures from the party...

My sweet little girl and I! Can't believe she is 5 already!

My two precious little people! :)

Now that it is over I am not sure what I will do with my time. I guess I need to start thinking about Logan's party theme. Thank you to everyone who came and helped us celebrate! :)

busy as a bee

Some much to do and only one week left to do it! Abby's party is coming up fast and I am so excited! She is too of course and we have started a countdown on the fridge for her so I don't get the "How many more days" question everyday. The candy is all purchased, the banner is made, the cake is ordered and the favor bags are decorated. Now, for cleaning, food planning and such.

I LOVE planning my little peoples birthday parties! Here is another peak of the Topiary Candy tree!

Craftiness!

A few weeks ago I bought a Cricut Create and after one day of using it, it stopped recognizing my cartridge when I turned on the machine. I am so mad because I was using it to make things for Abby's party. After calling Provo Craft and them having me try some different things, it still was not working. They told me they would get another one sent out to me but first I had to mail them the broken one. I didn't have time to wait for all that to happen so I went in search of another one for a good deal online.

I got that one on ebay for online $50 so I checked there first but nothing. So I started searching the internet and came across hsn.com. They had an amazing deal on one. You got the machine, 4 cartridges, and a few other things for only $149.99. I figured I will just resell the new one Provo Craft sends me and get my $50 back. I love ebay and have never had a problem selling stuff on there!

The new one from hsn.com will be here today and the one I sent back just got to them today according to the tracking info. I am so glad I ordered the hsn.com one! I only have a little less then two weeks before her party so I will be in high gear starting today when it arrives.

I have also decided to put some pictures of the things I make on etsy.com. I LOVE doing this kind of stuff and it would be great to make a little money doing it! ;) So, if you are in need of a birthday banner, invitations, or anything else for a party then check out my etsy store here! I am still adding things so check often!

Party, Party, Party!!

With only two weeks until the big Sweet Shoppe party for our sweet Abigail, I have LOTS to do! I am almost done with her banner, the lollipop topiary tree, and getting all the candy I need!

Let me talk about this topiary tree...It was super easy to make but you would not believe the amount of lollipops this thing took. I am going to have a guessing game to see who can guess how many are on it. A prize will be given for the closest guess! I am still thinking about making a gum drop wreath. I also picked up the cutiest pinata then other day. I am not going to put candy in because there is going to be plenty of that. I picked up a few things that will fit in it but still trying to find a few more things. I printed Abby's birthday pictures out and did a little project with them!

Can't wait for it all to come together that day!! I will be posting pictures and a blog about it so you can see how it all looked! :)

Sneak peak of the lollipop topiary tree!

Abby's Sweet Shoppe under construction!

We really enjoy making the kids birthdays a big deal because it is not just for them it is for us too. It is a celebration of their birth and us becoming parents, which is the best thing we have ever been given! When we look back we want to be sure we gave them the best parties we could!

We have a little over 2 months until Ms. Abigail turns 5 years old. Theme is all picked out, here is a peek at an invitation I have been playing around with! I have picked up a few things over the last few months. I need to start stocking up on candy, which I am hoping will be on sale after halloween. From moment I picked the theme, I had always said I want an array of candy and sweets. No cake this year, I am pretty sure there will be enough sweet stuff! I am going to make cupcakes but how they are decorated is still in the planning stages. I have been on the look out for any candy decor and have had some luck! No more details until you get here and see it for yourself!

I have already started to think about Logan's for next year. He is getting harder because of his age. I know soon enough, I will really have no say in what the theme is. Until then, I am going to enjoy it! Umm, what would be good for an 8 year old?!?!?!

Am I an over achiever, maybe?!

I will start by admitting that I am aware this is really early but I am super excited I can hardly stand it! So with that said...

I have decided for Abigail's 5th birthday this year (wow, is she really almost 5?!) to do a Candy Shoppe theme. I have been looking online at a lot of different ideas and this site (Candyland Birthday Party!) is one I really think did an amazing job but is definitely over the top! What kids would not love to come into a party with CANDY everywhere! Anyway, I will share more later as it gets closer but for now I wanted to share the theme and a mock invitation I have been working on!
