Weekend Recap (a little late, I know!)

I know, I know,  it's a little late but wanted to share our fun weekend.

Saturday, Matt and I along with a friend did our first AdvoCare booth at a fall festival. It was a lot of fun and I enjoyed sharing my passion for these amazing products with other people!

Sunday we headed out for our annual Graves Mountain trip! We had yummy kettle corn, finally got Matt some bags for his corn hole boards, picked out 3 pumpkins, got some delicious apples and of course rode the hayride! Everyone had a blast!

We all enjoyed having my niece Ashley here for the weekend as well. She watch the kiddos for us Saturday for us to do our booth. Thanks, Ash!

The Great Pumpkin Swap

I was so excited for this swap! I love this time of year and could wait to get my package of goodies! I got them from Amy who is not a blogger but a reader! We emailed back and forth and got to know each other and what we both liked about this time of year. Here is what I got in my box!

Pop Rocks, pumpkin patch orange...Popcorn...Mini hand sanitizer!
Candles that smell of Fall!
Fall hand towels!
Candy Corn M&M's...I have not tried these yet but can't wait to!
Thanks so much Amy! I loved everything!

These swaps are so much fun. I have working on a nail polish swap right now! Look for that post in the next week or so!

Currently ~ v7

Currently I am...

Loving the fall weather! I am so thankful it is not 100 degree outside anymore. I love the colors of the trees when I am driving down the road to my house. One nice thing about living in the country!

Looking at the Sock Monkey line at Crazy 8...can you say C-U-T-E! I must get Lucas the hat for this winter. I might just go by there today and get it.

Cooking lots of muffins. I can't get enough pumpkin and bananas muffins. The first batch of pumpkin muffin we all ate but I swear I ate the whole second batch by myself...NOT GOOD! haha

Catching up on TV shows. We are so behind on all our shows that I try to watch a few during the day. There are a few that I can't watch with out Matt (SOA, Criminal Minds, Mike and Molly) so we will have to catch up on those this weekend.

Missing my hubby! This storm was not as bad as some but he has still been working a lot this week and when he gets home it is time for bed so we don't get to talk much.

[Next week's themes: anticipating, buying, needing, thinking, ignoring]

Pumpkin Patch

I am so disappointed in myself and here is why...

We get up Saturday morning and start getting ready for the day. It's going to be a busy one and I am mentally preparing for it as I get ready. Thinking of all the things I need to pack for Lucas and my pump stuff. As I am packing every thing and checking it off my mental list I am feeling excited for our first all day trip out of the house. We load up the car and on off we go. We decided to grab some Chick Fil A before meeting friends at the pumpkin patch. I call my mom to let her know I am going to drop something off at her house (which now that I type this I totally forgot to do that) and at the end of the conversation she tells us to have fun and take lots of pictures. *cue dead silence then a cuss word or two* I FORGOT my damn camera!

Let me reminded you we don't live in town. It is a 20 minute drive to the Chick Fil A and we were only a minute or two away from there so turning around and going back was not an option. I felt so accomplished that I had remembered everything for this busy fun filled day or at least I thought I did. To add to that, when we got to the pumpkin patch they were now charging to park and only took cash or check. Luckily, the friends we were meeting spotted us the money to get in. We were not able to get pumpkins because again we had no cash but there was still plenty for the kids to do and they had a blast. Major lesson learned today...always carry some cash and NEVER forget camera again!

So with that said here is my pathetic pictures from the pumpkin patch.

Sunday Confessions ~ v5

It's Sunday and confession time...linking up with Alyx over at Every Day is a New Adventure!

Confession #1
Gossip Girl is my new guilty pleasure. I started watching it on Netflix from season 1 and I am all caught up and ready for October 8th to be here already.

Confession #2
Fall time makes we want to bake. My all time favorite Fall recipe is Pumpkin Muffins...here is the recipe, you should totally try them!

Confession #3
I have about 15lbs more to lose to be back to my pre-pregancy weight and 25lb to be at my all time goal weight. I am still losing weight but I am sure it will stop soon and the dieting will commence.

Confession #4
I need my hair colored...like last month. I have about 5 or 6 inches of roots and those hair we don't speak of, you know the gray ones, are in full effect.

Confession #5
We only have one 4 legged family member now. After a month and half of being home with Lucas, we realized that Jaxon needed way more attention then we could give him now. We placed him in a VERY loving home with a family that has 5 acres and a pond. We have spoken to them since he left and he is doing amazing. They are spoiling him rotten and said he is a complete joy!

Happy Sunday my fellow blogger and followers...Hope you have a fabulous week!

Thanksgiving 2011

Thing have changed so much over the years when it comes to Thanksgiving day. I have a large family and when we all get together there is NEVER a dull moment but this year only 4 of us daughters made it to my mom and dads for Thanksgiving dinner. On top of that we had our good friends and their oldest sons family join us.

The morning started with the annual 5K Turkey Trot! I sat with the kids while Matt and my sister ran. My parents, niece and other sister walked it and Logan decided to walk with them. Matt and my sister had a blast running it together and did it in right around 26 minutes. After they were done they went back and found Logan and had him run with them to the finish. Logan LOVED this. He is always talking about running with his daddy so he was very excited! Here are some pictures from the Turkey Trot.

After the Turkey Trot we all heading back to my parents. My mom made some breakfast casseroles the night before to throw in the oven for brunch. From there the cooking started! Everyone arrived around 3pm and we sat down to eat shortly after. It was so nice to visit with everyone and catch up. Matt and I headed out about 7pm because I was meeting up with a friend to go black Friday shopping!

I can't believe Thanksgiving has come and gone. Can't wait to get together with everyone in a few weeks for Christmas! :)

Here is our family picture from Thanksgiving day!
