Mommy Confessions ~ The not so pretty part of being a parent!

Time for some mommy confessing...

One thing about being a mom or a parent in general is dealing with the pretty and not so pretty stuff. From pee to poop to puke (the 3 nasty P's) you will have to deal with them all at some point or another. As for me, I can only handle 2 of them, pee and poop (I have had both on me more times then I care to share, haha). When it comes to puke you can count me out!

I feel like it's a mom fail that I can't handle when my kids throw up. Matt is great with them when it happens but me not so much. Logan and Abby are at the age now that they can tell you when their belly is upset and can make it to the bathroom but that doesn't make it any easier for me. I know it's a mind thing but I start feeling nauseous when I hear someone else getting sick.

I remember sitting on the kitchen floor of our apartment the first time Logan had a stomach bug and he just kept throwing up all over me. He was crying, I was crying and Matt was standing there trying to figure out how to help me. Once he stopped I handed him to Matt and headed straight for the shower. From that point on Matt has had puke duty! Of course, I have to deal with it when Matt is not home and I have gotten better about it but if he is home I stay out of there. Totally lame, right!?

There is not much I can't handle as a mom but that is definitely one of them! Can you handle the 3 not so pretty P's!?

My mom was/is the same way. She would actually cry and get sick at the same time. As us kids got older we would have to clean up after each other lol. I don't love it but I can deal with it.

I'm the SAME way! Like even her spit up makes me heave! Hahaha! NOTHING wrong with it, in my opinion!
Thanks for linking.

I can handle baby and little kid puke, but once they are older it's a lot harder for me!

hahahaha that visual of you in the kitchen, crying, puke everywhere and your husband just standing there like..."what do I do??" LOL I love it. I'm the poop handler, and Paul, my hubbers, is the puke handler. He has a VERY hard time with Poop of any kind. I cloth diaper too!! So let's just say I'M the one spraying all the poos off! :) Thanks for co-hosting @ "Showin' Some LOVE Hump Day blog hop! OMG OMG OMG OMG - have we discussed this before???? I'm the SAME WAY! I legit have emetophobia (fear of vomit) in the worst way. I HAAAAATE the months of November through May because it's stomach flu season. I cannot even handle it.

I can't do the sound of it, the smell of it, the look of it - nothing. God help me when our kids get sick like that. I'm so scared. Now that Benjamin is older (and exposed to more germs), I'm constantly on edge that he's going to barf.

Holy moly. That story of you holding the barfing kid - I could cry for you! I'd have PTSD for sure!
