Random Thursday ~ Ridiculous Fears
Linking up with these fabulous ladies today for the first time...
Today's topic is...
I have several fears...thunderstorms, tornadoes, the ocean but those are for another day. The most "Ridiculous" (yes, I am willing to admit it is a silly fear) would be walking on manhole covers.
I will NOT walk on these things EVER! I will find a way around them no matter what. I even go around any kind of grate in the ground too. Who would want to fall down into one of these. I don't even let the kids walk on them. What is worse then a fear of me falling in?! My sweet babies falling in! Look at this black whole to no where, not to mention the nastiness that is down there.
Go ahead and laugh at me...Matt does, haha!

I can totally understand your fear! They are creepy! When I was a child I got stuck with my bike in one of these (don't know how), fell down and as a result I had a brain concussion. I know, it is not the same but they also freak me out. :)
Ick, grates and manhole covers. They're just creepy! I hop-skip around grates constantly because I feel like I'll either fall in or something will reach out and grab me!
I can definitely understand that!!!! I hate walking over the utility covers on the side walk, freaks me out haha.
Those things are totally scary. I've never actually witnessed anyone falling into one of those things but did watch a video of a lady falling through some grates on the street in NY...scary stuff right there. As goofy as this fear may be it's totally valid IMO.

Me too, me too! I refuse to walk on these. If I'm with other people I will pull or push them out of the way so they don't walk on them either. Haha
I find it hard to walk on them too! ugh the thought of falling in is so terrifying.
